How to select high precision grinding wheel
1、 Selection of abrasive
The choice of abrasive for high-precision grinding wheel is a kind of knowledge. The choice of abrasive mainly depends on the workpiece material and heat treatment method. When using high-precision grinding machine to grind materials with high tensile strength, we should choose materials with greater toughness; When grinding materials with high hardness, the abrasive with higher hardness should be selected; When grinding materials that are not easy to be processed, the abrasive with chemical reaction should be selected.
2、 Selection of granularity
The grain size of the grinding wheel of the high-precision grinding machine mainly refers to the grain size of the abrasive, which mainly depends on the surface roughness and grinding efficiency of the grinding price. The grain size is mainly expressed by the grain size number. When grinding with the coarse-grained grinding wheel, the production efficiency is high, but the grinding surface is relatively rough; When grinding with fine-grained grinding wheel, the surface roughness of the workpiece is good, but the productivity is very low.
3、 Selection of hardness
The hardness of the grinding wheel of high-precision grinding machine refers to the difficulty of the abrasive particles falling off under the action of external forces, which mainly depends on the material of the workpiece to be ground, the grinding efficiency and the quality of the machined surface. If the grinding wheel is selected too hard, the grinding particles will not fall off; If the grinding wheel is too soft, it will increase the wear of the grinding wheel, thus losing the correct geometric shape.
